Our Covenant

As a church fellowship, we agreed to adopt the following Covenant which outlines our committment to God, and to each other

We give thanks that you have called us together to be members of Yardley Wood Baptist Church.

In humble dependence on the Holy Spirit and with one another’s help we commit ourselves to being disciples of your Son Jesus

By growing to know him better through the Bible and prayer

By choosing to live in obedience to his teaching

In humble dependence on the Holy Spirit and with one another’s help we commit ourselves to the family of this church

By joining together in worship

By caring for one another

By showing love in the way we act and speak

By respecting and supporting the leaders

By taking part in the decision making of the church

In humble dependence on the Holy Spirit and with one another’s help we commit ourselves to sharing responsibility for the work of this church

By supporting it through our time and money

By discovering and using our gifts in your service

By welcoming visitors to the church

By sharing Jesus with those outside the church

By praying for the people and work of this church
